"We'll Always Have Paris #12"

"The Back Story:  This painting is all about Love.  What better word to use when talking about Paris?  I've used two of Edouard Manet's paintings I consider highly emotionally charged  as well as a couple from my time in Paris when I was falling in love --with a man and a city.  We didn't have much money so we walked or took the Metro everywhere. One day we went to the zoo  and discovered the giraffes were in love, too."

This is one of the 15 paintings  of mine now showing at the Saline District Library, Saline, MI. through April 6, 2018. This  is  a duo show with  my son, photographer Orin  Cassill  who has a dozen of his art works on display as well.  We invite you all to come by and see them during library hours.  Saline District Library, 555 N. These two watercolor paintings are on display as part of the Saline Painters Guild Show at Ann Arbor City Club, 1830 Washtenaw Ave., Ann Artor, MI. The show runs from March 27 to May 15, 2017. Hope you can stop by and take a look.  The framed size is 16 x 20.

the Council on Aging, 7 Standish Way,  North Truro, MA. Reception September 4 from 2 to 4 pm.

Games and Sand Castles,  oil on canvas 16 x  16. This is just one of the  small oils in my Solo show at the Marion Crane Gallery, Snow Library, on Main Street  in  Orleans, MA. The show will be exhibited for the month of June. A reception will be held on Friday June 24 from 1 to 3 pm. The public is invited.

I'm pleased to announce that my  Painting "Circus Series #2: Magician received Honorable Mention from Juror Nora Venturelli in the Ann Arbor Women Artists Spring Exhibition now on display at the Mallets creek District Library in Ann Arbor. This is particularly pleasing as I was using a new technique for me in creating the painting.
